Sandy Bihn

Sandy Bihn has served the Oregon community as a member of Council, Clerk Auditor, Tax Commissioner and Finance Director. Currently, in addition to City Council, she is the President of the Toledo Lighthouse Society, an all volunteer organization, that works on restoration and lighthouse promotion. Sandy is the Executive Director of Lake Erie Waterkeeper Inc., Vice President of Lake Erie Improvement Association which works on fishable, swimmable, drinkable water in the Lake Erie watershed.  She serves on the International Joint Commission Water Quality Advisory Board.

In addition, she is chairperson of the Public Utilities and Environmental Committee and serves on both the Finance Committee and the Water and Sewer Committee. Sandy was born in Toledo, Ohio and is married to Frank. Together they have two children and four grandchildren: Martin (MaryBec Gwynn) and Ginger (Eric Coss), Adam and Noah Bihn, Griffin, Keegan, and Cambriana Coss. Sandy graduated from the University of Toledo with a BA and MBA in Finance. She is also involved in the League of Women Voters, Lake Erie Committees, the Oregon Jerusalem Historical Society, the Western Lake Erie Historical Society, and the Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor. Sandy ran for City Council because she wants to help with water quality, sustain neighborhoods, and enhance commercial and waterfront corridors.

Steve Hornyak

 

  

Steve Hornyak was born in Oregon, and has been a lifelong resident in our community. Mr. Hornyak resides in Oregon with his wife, Amanda and his 3 daughters, Chelsea, Megan and Olivia. Mr. Hornyak works as the Entrance Division Manager at Oldcastle Building Envelope in Perrysburg. He is a graduate of Siena Heights University with a BA in Business Management. Mr. Hornyak has served as a School Board member for Oregon City Schools, and is a volunteer coach and umpire in NW Ohio. He has been a business owner in Oregon for over 20 years.

In addition to serving as a member of Oregon City Council, he is chairman of the Economic Development & Planning Committee and serves on both the Recreation and Parks Committee and the Drainage, Roads, Building & Lands Committee.

Kathleen Pollauf

Mrs. Pollauf is now serving her second full term on council.  In 2011, she served for a short time after another councilman resigned.  Since that time she served on the Oregon Board of Zoning Appeals. She is Chairwoman of the Water and Sewer Committee, and serves on the Safety (Police and Fire) Committee and Finance Committee.
 
Kathleen is the sole proprietor of Kathleen Pollauf, LMT - Massage Therapy LLC, in Oregon. She is married to Terrence and they have 2 children, Heather and Stephen.

Terry Reeves

 

Terry Reeves is serving his tfourth term on Oregon City Council. He is Chairman of the Recreation & Parks Committee and serves on both the Public Utilities & Environmental and Water & Sewer Committees.

Terry is a special education teacher in the Toledo Public School System. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1977 and is a life long resident of Oregon.

James S. Seaman

Jim Seaman has been a member of Oregon City Council since 1989, and from 1995-1997, he served as Council President. He currently serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee and serves on the Economic Development & Planning Committee and the Safety (Police and Fire) Committee. He is the City's representative to the Lucas County Improvement Corporation, Hancock Senior Citizen's Board of Trustees, volunteers for the Oregon Christmas Basket Program and helps raise money through the Oregonian Club for high school scholarships.

Jim was born in Zanesville, Ohio and raised in Fremont, Ohio.  He graduated from Fremont St. Joseph's High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and earned varsity letters in football and wrestling.  He attended the University of Toledo and graduated with his Bachelor's in 1972.  He was awarded an internship in school psychology through the Lucas County Board of Education in 1975 and accepted into the University of Toledo's Doctoral program where he earned a Doctorate Degree in 1981. Jim was elected to the Oregon School Board in 1979 and chosen president by fellow board members in 1982.

For two years he taught high school and coached football, wrestling and girl's softball in Maumee, Ohio. He has been a school psychologist in the Toledo Public Schools for the last 22 years.

Jim and his wife Najah (Haddad) have made their home in Oregon for the last 30 years. They have two children, Jamie and Samantha.

Dennis Walendzak

Dennis Walendzak is serving his third term on Oregon City Council. Currently, he is chairman of the Drainage, Roads, Buildings & Lands Committee and serves on both the Public Utilities & Environmenta and the Recreation and Parks Committees.

Dennis was born and raised in Oregon, Ohio and is married to Chris and they have two children, Alyson and Carter. Dennis is a 1990 graduate of Clay High School and attended the University of Findlay and Miami University. Dennis is an environmental consultant and waste broker for Environmental Management Services, and he is a member of the Oregonian Club.

Tim Zale

Tim Zale is serving his second term on the Oregon City Council. Tim was born in Toledo and moved to Oregon in 1984. Mr. Zale resides in Oregon, Ohio with his wife, Janet and their son Timothy.

A graduate of the University of Toledo and Lourdes College, Mr. Zale earned a Bachelor of Education in Science degree and a Masters degree in Organizational Leadership. Mr. Zale is a retired Detective Sergeant from the Oregon Police Division where he served the police division for 28 years.

In addition to serving as a member of the Oregon City Council, he is Chairman of the Safety Committee and serves on both the Drainage, Roads, Building and Land Committee and the Economic Development Committee.
