The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department attempts to serve the needs of the City of Oregon residents and students within the Oregon School district. The Department consists of a full-time director, program coordinator and secretary. In addition, seasonal personnel are hired to supervise recreation venues, keep score, maintain grounds and concession operations. The department operates from a Recreation Levy and is subsidized from the City of Oregon's General Fund. Additional revenues are raised through donations, program fees and concession operations. Fall programs include soccer for kindergartners through 8th grade, flag football for 2nd through 5th grade and tackle football for 5th and 6th graders. Games are played on the Oregon Recreation Soccer Complex to the south of our baseball complex. Over 140 students participate in the tackle football program and nearly 1000 students play soccer and flag football.
For more information on any of these programs, please contact the Recreation Office at 419-698-7146 or click on the online registration link above. Oregon is proud of its opportunities in recreation. Come and visit. Registration DatesYouth
