William P. Coontz Complex

William Coontz ComplexDedicated in 1993 for William P. Coontz, the first Recreation Director in the City of Oregon, the Coontz Complex boasts 8 baseball/softball diamonds with 5 lighted softball/baseball diamonds, and 1 lighted baseball field named for John Ousky, a former Oregon police officer active in the Police Athletic League.

In 2006 the South complex was first utilized for soccer and flag football.  This new complex is connected to the North complex by a bridge across Wolfe Creek. The parking area on the South side was completed in 2008 and can now accomodate 300 vehichles. This parking complex is utilized for both soccer and to access diamonds 5, 6 and 7 on the North Complex.

South Shore Veterans Park

The South Shore Veterans Park, located on Bayshore Road, offers residents a picnic area, playground, ball diamond, basketball court, open space and an observation/sledding hill overlooking Lake Erie. During 1999, the word Veterans was added to the name of the park to recognize all the Oregon men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.


Pearson Park

The Park is located in the City of Oregon, but is maintained by the Toledo MetroPark System. It's boundaries are Route 2/Navarre Avenue on the south, Lallendorf Road on the west, Seaman Road on the north and Wynn Road on the east.  Peason Park offers fishing, sledding, a children's playground, tennis courts, picnic grounds, walking and bicycle trails and a variety of nature programs.
