The Ash Tree Removal Program administered by WSOS, on behalf of the Ohio Department of Natural Resouces Division of Forestry is designed to assist residental homeowners with the removal of Ash Trees providing a potential threat to structures and play areas has been extended and expanded.  Private property owners within the counties of Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca and Wood will be accepted into this application period beginning April 1, 2011.  

The program provides funding for the removal of two (2) Ash Trees per property with matching funds provided based on income.  The program provides for 65% of the removal costs for households at or below 300% of the Federal Proverty Income Guideline OR 50% of the cost for households above this level.  Options for providing grant match are outlined in the Program Guidelines in the application packet.
